Christmas Parade

We had fantastic weather for the Christmas Parade. Lucky we remembered to bring sunblock and water bottles! We had such a great time on the float blowing bubbles and waving to the crowd. We also saw lots of Huia Range Students in the crowd.

Pounamu Syndicate Trip

We had an awesome day yesterday visiting the Fantasy Cave, going to the park for a picnic and then visiting the duckpond and deer.  All the children were so well behaved and everyone had a lovely time.
Here is a slideshow from the duckpond visit.

Naughty Amelia Jane

We have been reading Naughty Amelia Jane by Enid Blyton. Here are our character reports.

Our character report template came from: Unique Teaching Resources

No more 5yr olds

We have had our last birthdays for the year and we are now a class of 6&7yr olds.

We are learning to care for our environment

We decided our desks needed a really good clean - inside and out. We are pretty pleased with the results.

Oak tree life cycle

We are learning about plants. We read From Little Acorns by Sam Godwin. Then we went on a leaf and seed hunt around the school. We found acorns growing at ever stage mentioned in our story.
